Paid advertising

Advertising is the fastest way to grow and the fastest way to waste money.

The platforms have never been better at finding buyers and never been better at spending your budget on people who were never going to buy. The difference between those two outcomes is rarely the targeting. It is the offer, the creative, and whether anyone can see which euro came back.

The problem

The reports look fine. The bank account disagrees.

Most underperforming ad accounts we take over are technically competent. Structure is reasonable, bids are sane. What is missing sits upstream and downstream of the account.

Leads that were never going to buy

Cost per lead is down, the dashboard is green, and your sales team is spending its week on people who wanted a price list and nothing else. Optimising for cheap leads reliably produces exactly that, and nobody notices until the close rate collapses.

One creative, run until it dies

A single image, a single line, running for months because it worked in March. Attention decays, frequency climbs, cost per result creeps up, and the account gets blamed. The fix is production capacity, not a new bidding strategy.

Nobody can see what came back

The platform reports forty conversions, the CRM shows eleven, and the finance team can match three to invoices. Without server-side tracking and one system, every budget conversation turns into an argument about whose numbers are real.

The definition

What paid advertising actually means

Paid advertising that works, in one paragraphPaid advertising that pays back is a system with four parts, and it fails at whichever one is weakest. An offer worth responding to, creative that earns attention in the second before somebody scrolls past, a landing page built to convert the traffic the ad promised, and measurement that traces revenue back to the ad that produced it. Targeting and bidding matter, but modern platforms optimise those for you. What they cannot supply is a reason to buy, and they will happily spend the entire budget without one.
  • Ad platforms optimise delivery, not desire. The offer and the creative are the parts they cannot do for you.
  • A campaign sending good traffic to a page that does not convert is not an advertising problem, and more budget makes it worse.
  • Creative volume is a performance lever: the accounts that win are usually the ones testing dozens of angles, not one.
  • Without server-side tracking and one CRM, you are optimising towards the leads the platform can see rather than the customers you actually closed.

The work

What we run

Media buying, creative production and conversion work in one team, because they are one job and splitting them across three suppliers is why most accounts stall.

Google Ads

Search for demand that already exists, Performance Max and Shopping where they belong, and a negative keyword discipline that keeps you out of the queries which look relevant and never convert. Built around your margin, not around an impression share target.

Meta: Facebook and Instagram

Where demand gets created rather than captured. Offer-led creative, tested in volume, aimed at the moment before somebody starts searching. This is usually the channel that decides whether your pipeline has anything in it three months from now.

LinkedIn

For considered B2B purchases where the buying committee matters more than the click. Precise, expensive, and worth it when the deal size supports it. We will say plainly when it does not.

YouTube and video

The cheapest way to say something that needs more than a sentence, and the format that builds recognition before the search happens. Shot by our own team, cut into the lengths each placement actually rewards.

Creative production at volume

Around 60 ads, videos and carousels per launch: offers, objections, proof, comparison, urgency, each as its own angle. Produced in house by copywriters, designers and videographers who sit together, so a new angle ships in days.

Tracking and attribution

Server-side tagging, UTM discipline and one CRM, so every lead, call and sale lands in the same place. You see spend, leads, cost per lead and traced revenue per channel in one dashboard, reviewed with you weekly.

Step by step

How a launch runs

First campaigns live within a few weeks, first enquiries usually within days of that, and then a weekly cycle that keeps compounding.

01

Offer and economics

What we are advertising, what it is worth, and therefore what you can afford to pay for a customer. Accounts fail here more often than in any platform setting.

02

Tracking first

Server-side tracking, conversion definitions and CRM connection before a single euro is spent. Launching without it means the first month of data teaches you nothing.

03

Landing pages

The page the ad promised, built to convert, not the homepage. Traffic is the easy half; where it lands decides whether it was worth buying.

04

Creative sprint

Around 60 assets across angles and formats, scripted, shot and designed in house. Volume is not showing off, it is how you find the two angles that outperform the rest by a distance.

05

Launch and learn

Deliberately broad at the start so the platform can find the pockets that convert, then tightened once the data says where they are. Patience for two weeks, decisiveness after.

06

Optimise on revenue

We optimise towards closed revenue in the CRM rather than towards form fills, because cheap leads and good customers are rarely the same people.

07

Follow-up flows

Speed-to-lead alerts, automatic email and SMS sequences, and a next step on every enquiry. Most ad budget is not lost in the auction, it is lost in the two days before anybody called back.

08

Weekly review

Same numbers, same time, every week: spend, leads, cost per lead, traced revenue, what we are changing and why. The account gets sharper every week or we explain why it did not.

The difference

Managing an account against running a channel

The platform work is the visible part and the smallest part of the job.

Account management

  • Optimises towards cheap leads
  • One or two creatives, rarely refreshed
  • Traffic lands on the homepage
  • Reports what the platform reports
  • Creative waits on an outside supplier
  • A monthly report nobody reads

Running the channel

  • Optimises towards closed revenue
  • Around 60 angles per launch, refreshed continuously
  • Purpose-built landing pages per offer
  • Reports what the CRM and the invoices say
  • Creative shot by our own team in days
  • A weekly review with decisions attached
The proof

Campaigns that paid for themselves several times over

Advertising is the easiest part of our work to measure, which is exactly why we put it next to the revenue rather than next to the impressions.

ZichtInterior

€490,000 in revenue in three months from one campaign, plus the Beurs Wonen Visitor Award.

BatisolConstruction

7x more leads and over €1,000,000 in extra revenue across the full programme.

“One single email campaign brought in €300,000 in extra revenue.”

Hans Josten, owner at Batisol
Apart Real EstateReal estate

6,000 leads and €4.5 million in apartments sold online.

4BestConstruction

800 extra quote requests, with every enquiry traced back to the campaign that produced it.

Questions, answered

Paid advertising, explained

How much should we spend on paid advertising?+
The useful way to answer that is from the other end. Work out what a customer is worth to you, how many you can deliver, and what close rate your sales process achieves. That gives you an affordable cost per customer, and the budget follows from the volume you want. Spending a fixed percentage of revenue because that is the industry rule ignores both your margin and your capacity.
Google Ads or Meta: which one should we start with?+
Google captures demand that already exists, so it tends to produce faster and better-qualified enquiries when people are actively searching for what you sell. Meta creates demand, so it fills the pipeline for the months ahead and usually costs less per lead while asking more of your creative. Most companies with a real growth target end up running both, but if there is existing search volume in your category, start there.
Why does our cost per lead keep rising?+
Usually creative fatigue rather than the auction. The same ad shown to the same audience for months gets ignored, frequency climbs and the platform pays more for each result. The other common cause is optimising towards form fills, which trains the platform to find people who fill in forms rather than people who buy. Both are fixed upstream of the bidding.
How quickly do campaigns produce results?+
Campaigns are usually live within a few weeks of starting, and the first enquiries arrive within days of that. Reliable numbers take longer: give any new campaign two weeks before drawing conclusions, because the platform needs conversion data before it can find your buyers. Structural results, where the channel is predictable month to month, build over the first quarter.
Do you make the ads yourself?+
Yes. Copywriters, designers, photographers and videographers on our own team in Antwerp. A typical launch is around 60 assets across angles and formats, and a new angle can be shot and live within days. This matters more than it sounds: creative volume is one of the few remaining levers on performance that the platforms have not automated.
Can you work with our existing ad accounts?+
Yes, and we prefer it. Your accounts keep their history, which the platforms use, and you keep ownership of them. We work inside your accounts rather than a reseller structure, so if we ever part ways you walk away with the data and the learning intact.
What do you need from us to start?+
Read or admin access to the ad accounts and analytics, your numbers on average order value and close rate, someone who can approve creative quickly, and a sales process that calls back fast. That last one matters more than the budget. The cheapest performance improvement in most companies is answering enquiries within minutes instead of days.
Do you advertise outside Belgium?+
Yes, across Europe and in the United States, in Dutch and English. The platforms and the persuasion principles are the same everywhere. The market research, the language and the competitive set change, and so does the seasonality. The weekly review works the same in every time zone.
